For cycling fans, the Tour de France is easily comparable to the FIFA World Cup - steeped in history, full of great drama and surprises delivered by the best riders in the world. After developing a content and localisation strategy for Eurosports 'Home of Cycling', shooting has now started with some of the big names and favourites of this year's tour. Using the 'behind the scenes' approach during the filming, the pan-european broadcaster will air a documentary, digital shorts and cross-platform content before and during the tour.
